Sterk Mamma

Safe training through pregnancy and back after birth — in small groups of max 5–6, led by Martine Oline Mathisen. As an authorised osteopath and personal trainer with further training in the pelvic floor and women's health, she adapts the session to your body — whether it's hip pain, pelvic girdle pain or leakage after birth.

Your specialist

You get Martine — not an ordinary group instructor.

Behind every session is an authorised osteopath and personal trainer with specialist expertise in women's health, the pelvic floor and pregnancy. That means you don't just train — you get guidance from someone who also treats and understands your body.

01

Osteopath + PT

Martine sees the body both as a therapist and a trainer. The combination means she can lead the session safely, recognise signs of pelvic girdle pain, hip pain or leakage, and adjust the exercises there and then.

02

Specialised in women's health

With further training in the pelvic floor and pregnancy-related complaints, she builds the session from the core outwards — gently but effectively, whether you're pregnant or have just given birth.

03

Adapted to you

Every body is different. Martine adapts the load, exercises and pace to what you're struggling with — and helps you get back to yourself, often stronger than before.

Max 5–6 participants per class — a private setting where Martine sees you, not just the group.

Two groups

Two separate classes — choose the phase you're in.

Both groups run on Thursdays at Majorstuen and follow the same session-pass model: 12 sessions you use over three months. The difference lies in the time, length and how the session is set up.

Why Sterk Mamma

Your body changes. Your training should too.

Pregnancy and the postnatal period put the body in a unique situation — pelvis, stomach, back and energy levels behave differently from before. Sterk Mamma is built for exactly that period, and is led by an osteopath and PT who knows how to adapt the session to you.

You come once a week, train with others going through the same thing, and get a session adapted to your body as it is today. Small groups (max 6 pregnant, max 5 postnatal) mean Martine sees you, adjusts along the way and makes sure you train safely — not harder than you can handle.

Martine Oline Mathisen, osteopath and personal trainer at Torp&Co

Your trainer

Martine Mathisen.

Authorised osteopath and personal trainer with specialist expertise in women's health, the pelvic floor and training before and after birth.

Martine combines manual treatment with adapted training, which means she can meet the body where it actually is. Whether you struggle with hip pain, pelvic girdle pain, pelvic pressure or leakage, she builds you up gently but effectively — back to yourself, and often stronger than before.

With max 5–6 participants per class she has the overview to adjust exercises, explain along the way and give you the confidence you need to train well through a very special period.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

When can I start?

You can start at any time during pregnancy as long as you feel well, and after birth once you've been given the all-clear at your postnatal check — usually around 6–8 weeks. If you're unsure, have a chat with Martine first.

Is it safe to train while pregnant?

Yes, for the vast majority adapted training is both safe and recommended throughout pregnancy. The sessions are led by osteopath and personal trainer Martine Oline Mathisen, and adjusted to the week you're in and how your body responds.

I have hip pain / pelvic girdle pain — can I take part?

Absolutely. Martine is an osteopath with further training in the pelvic floor and women's health, and adapts the exercises to what your body can handle right now. You get guidance along the way, and your needs can also be assessed in a treatment if you choose Premium.

I struggle with leakage or pelvic pressure after birth — is the session adapted for that?

Yes. The session builds up gently with a focus on the core, pelvic floor and breathing, so you can train safely and progressively. Martine combines training and osteopathic expertise, and adapts the load to you.

How many are in the group?

Max 6 participants per class in the pregnancy group and max 5 in the postnatal group with babies. This means Martine can see each person, adjust exercises along the way and make sure everyone gets a session that suits their body — almost like semi-private training, but with the community of a group.

Can I bring my baby?

Yes, in the postnatal group your baby is welcome until their first birthday. The session is set at up to 90 minutes precisely to allow plenty of time for feeding, changing and comforting along the way — with no guilt at all.

What if I need to skip a week?

You buy 12 sessions valid for 3 months, so you have room to skip a week or two. We're happy to help you get back into the rhythm afterwards.

What's the difference between Classic and Premium?

Classic includes the 12 group classes. Premium also includes 12 treatments of 30 minutes — massage or osteopathy — one per week throughout the programme.

Ready for your place?

Choose the package that suits the phase you're in — or have a chat with Martine first if you're unsure what your body can handle right now.
